Grit Design argues through word and picture that persons and communities can “design” grit and resilience into their lives and communities with intentionality.
The idea is that intentional 'grit design' takes place before facing adversity, so as to increase our chances of doing well following adverse events.

Now is a good time to be intentional about designing grit into our lives and communities. It’s a good time to slow down, step away from the daily grind, and think more carefully about the ecologies we are embedded within.
Let us bring attention to designing resilience and grit into our systems so that we may be prepared for future adversity.
